New Member here with new DPMS Recon 308 (with pics)

Recommended Posts

Got a new DPMS Recon version a few days ago.  Love carrying around the 16" version SOO much better than my 24" inch bull barrel version.  Since it's not going to see many ranges outside of 550 - 600 yards, I went with an ACOG TA 11E.

I Like the concept of the flash hider/suppressor adapter, course that is just more time to wait until its complete (sigh).

The quad rail is actually quite nice and solid.  I might keep it on for a while, but since I am not going to be hanging junk all over it, (yes, I have tendencies to be an accessory whore ;)) I will probably go with one that is lighter and only has an upper and lower rail.

I am seriously looking at the Mako Tpod G2 to get the front grip that I want and still have a bipod, but not have too much junk on it.

The crappy (ok, they are not THAT bad) BU sights are already gone (right after I took the pics) because I don't see the need of backup sights that aren't as tough as my main optic.  I will be getting some DD BU sights within the next few days.
