Speaking of, I was shooting at 185 yards today, and dialed in my go to load- 168 gr SMK pushed by 24 grains of RL15. After that I dug out some Mk319 Mod 0 OTM I had been hoarding and tried it. It shot 12 inches lower at 185 yards, and not nearly as tight a group. To be expected I suppose. Also didn’t feed real well.

Brain fart! No one caught me! I meant 42 grains RL 15 not 24!

I was gonna say something - :lmao:  I'm running 24-ish grains of RL15 for 75gr 5.56 loads.  I figured you found a great subsonic load.:banana:

24 grs RL 15is my 5.56 load for 75gr Hornady BTHP’s. I went dyslexic there and reversed the numbers.

LGS is going out of business... They have a brand new 6.5cr on the shelf just begging to be adopted.... Must... fight.... urge....

Useless, like sex drive. You can supress it but it comes back stronger than ever. Plus think; 1400 yards.

I just started a thread on this beast.

This will be my beauty. This project, so far, is only a “M1Army” refinished Tiger Striped birch stock, TRW bolt, Winchester Op Rod and a Criterion 18” barrel at this point. I had a LRB M25 rear lugged receiver but I sold it to fix my racecar 🥹

Traded this one for a very well built 10.5” AR15.

It even had a LaRue LT608!

This is an Israeli M14 Sniper rifle stock, zoom in on the buttstock pad 😲 trying to decide if I should leave it or refurbuish it for the build. I have the rest of the rifle minus the reciver but I have several stripped Italian recievers

Also need to find a scope for it

sold it because:

Give this man a raise. You are spot on in that assessment.

The Colt/LMT/Geissele/US Optics package it traded the Socom/EBR for.

I dig it.. The cheek weld is extreme but could be the right height.

Pretty much, here's one in the wild and you can see how high the scope sits.

Here's one that's been refurbished( kinda of leaning this way as recievermscope, scope mount and bi pod will not be origional)

I own two.

The first one was a Springfield Loaded (Reloaded) with the SS medium barrel and issued without the bayonet lug. It wears a Faijen black on black stock with a Sadlak steel airborn optic mount. The optic is a Nitrex by Weaver 3-15 I think on Burris rings.

The second was a very lightly used standard Springfield with a composite stock. It came with the CA legal comp on it. I had a spare walnut one or two and swapped the composite one off the rifle for one of the Walnut ones. Still have the composite.

Both of them are much better with 165 grain or 175 grain ammo than mil-spec ball at 145-147 grains.
