Wish I did

Plan ahead, brother.  We live at the tank, prioritize high-ground perimeter security first, build the filtration system next, and move early warning to the High Ground location, rotating shifts on that duty.  We'll be fine there.

I got a reply from kiwi I told him to take care and we were all worried about him

Hi Neal, yeah been super busy, relocating to a new town and uplifting family has kept me tied up.

All is going as well as can be expected over here, still dealing with the fallout and keeping up the fight, another court case pending to try and at least curb the damage already done.

They are coming at us from every angle, now they have banned all ‘mil spec’ ammunition, whatever the heck that’s supposed to mean, with a 5 year prison term for possession of even a single round of ‘mil spec’ ammo.

It’s just chaos, no one knows what’s really happening, all this is being conceived behind closed doors and without consultation. You know the types of dirty tricks that socialist/commie scum employs.

I’ll try to get on the forum and make a post to let you all know what we are dealing with.

I appreciate the contact.

All the best,
Steve.

If we can take anything good out of this,

"Police Minister Stuart Nash earlier this year had estimated that as many as 300,000 guns of various manufacture– out of the 1.5 million in circulation– were targeted by the move. However, the latest figures from government sources are that only about 36,000 guns have been sold at police-arranged events by Nov. 11,"

“[Nash] has failed to engage with the firearms community and they’re responding by not engaging with the buyback,” said Brett Hudson with the New Zealand National Party, a group that holds just under half of the seats in the country’s House of Representatives. Worse Hudson pointed out that criminals aren’t turning in their guns either.

Bad guys first.

Funny how the police have said they know the criminals have illegal guns( even prior to these new laws) and other then publicly asking all criminals to co operate and turn in their guns but if you don't nothing will happen. Bikers have said yes we have guns and no we'll not be turning them over.

Seems the only ones the government is interested in harassing/threatening/arresting and prepared to   are people that( until the new laws were passed) legal, law abiding firearms owners who have done nothing wrong.

My guess is they move to shutting off the power and water to those they wish to influence.  Then there’s not renewing vehicle registrations, not accepting tax payments and allowing penalties to accrue. They could really make life hell without stepping foot into your yard.

Alarming is not a strong enough word.  The war on freedom has begun.  Most folks don't even consider what will be next with these crazy f'kers.  These people turn on their own after a while.  What's next?  Bow and arrows,  slingshots,  knives,  dinnerware,  dress code,  speech patterns,  certain words like tyranny or revolution.  I don't believe our brothers and sisters who are police are going to stand by this too much longer,  then what ?  Yep military units.  Damn,  I never thought I'd see this day.  What is their NRA,  gotta send some money their way.

If you want to know what the people behind the scenes think, read about Bernie Sander's campaign aide and his thoughts on people who think differently.

I found another article that made me wonder what @308kiwi has been up to lately.

https://www.secondamendmentdaily.com/2020/05/new-zealand-govt-claims-it-can-extinguish-gun-owners-property-rights-by-decree-what-could-go-wrong/

The Latest Bad News For NZ Gun Owners

Meanwhile, New Zealand’s gun buyback program ended last December.  The whole thing was an abysmal failure, but we digress. But when gun owners went to turn in their guns, they were also told to hand in their ammunition.

That wasn’t part of the edict, and gun owners weren’t compensated for their ammunition.  The Council of Licensed Firearms Owners brought a lawsuit on behalf of gun owners who were collectively out tens of thousands of dollars.

But a the High Court heard arguments this week that said the government doesn’t need to compensate gun owners.

The Government’s legal team argued that the “Government extinguished all property rights of any kind” for gun owners when it brought in gun law reform last year.

And it got worse!  The legal team said that they didn’t even have a legal obligation to compensate gun owners for their GUNS and only did so as a kindness.  Their claim was that the government only has to compensate for confiscation private property if they’re going to USE the private property.  And since the guns weren’t going to be used by the government, no compensation was required.

Crown lawyer Austin Powell said, “If the property is taken for a purpose it is an acquisition and it must be compensated, and in New Zealand law, most often, it is.”

Sounds just like the attitude of England, against "their colony" America, back in 1773 and 1774 and 1775.  On 19 April, 1775, we'd had enough.

@308kiwi, I hope you're doing alright, brother. It shiit is really that stupid, you always have a place to stage out of here in AZ, and get an American life started.  That offer has no expiration, brother.
