  1. I have the 26" varmit with the half quad and the 6 point stock. It is a great rifle with amazing accuracy. If I had one complaint it would be the gun is very front heavy but that is nothing a bipod can't fix.
  2. My rifle had very similar tightness issues at first. It will get better after you shoot it, break it down, and put it back together a few times. I wouldn't worry to much.
  3. Really sorry to hear about your experience with cz. I think I would rather carry a bat at least you would have more reach when you have to swing it. If it was me I would sell it and buy something else especially if it is an everyday carry gun.
  4. Thanks brothers. I kind of figured it was possible to limp "shoulder" the rifle with the way the bolt operates. Thanks :again for the info about the lapped barrel.
  5. I finally got out and shot it last Saturday. She shot great but while my buddy was shooting it had a crazy combo of a failure. Stove piped then double fed at the same time. I was able to easly clear the failures. Not real sure what my buddy did but i put more rounds through and not a single problem and the accuracy is incredible. If I had any buyers remorse that was lost after the first shot.
  6. Sorry had a crazy couple days,so crazy that I haven't shot it yet <dontknow> . I ordered my rifle right around January 14 2012, I know it was before the shot show as per my dealers advice. I think I am going to break it in just because why not. What's the harm in getting more time to familiarize myself with the weapon and it certainly can't hurt.
  7. Oh happy day my rifle finally came in! It only took 69 days from the day I ordered. What a nice solid rifle, I am more than happy with everything except the weight but with a 26" stainless barrel I should of known she was gonna be beefy. I swear LAR should stand for large @$$ rifle. I can't wait to shoot it but unfortunately my schedule has me to busy for the next couple of days. The manual states I do not need to break- in the barrel because it is lapped, is that true or should I still go ahead and go through the break-in procedure?
  8. 4 months! Dang I was hoping for more like 2 months. The gun shop I deal with told me I shouldn't have to wait more than 2 months because I got my order in a couple weeks before shoot show. I ended up buying a different scope than what I originally posted I went with a Leupold mark AR 6-18x40 with mil dots. Seems like a good scope but this is my first entry into optics does anybody have experience with Leupold AR series? Should i take it back and go with the trijicon accupoint?
  9. Howdy Let me start by congratulating the members of the forum this is one of the most helpful friendly forums I have stumbled across. I am not new to firearms but I am new to the AR family of rifles. In early January I ordered a Rock River Lar 8 and of course still waiting on it. I went with the 26 inch varmit with half quad front and the A2 operator stock. I also bought a trijicon accupoint scope, mags, and tons of ammo. The wait is about enough to drive me insane. I am curious, do any of the members have exprience with this particular rifle?
