  1. Hey guys been looking for a brakeout in 1/2x28 for a my ar 15 and cant find one anywhere. Just curious if anyone has seen them in stock some where. Thanks
  2. Ya I know your just messn. A different barrel just isn't what I pictured in my head. But ya mainly paper puncher and if shtf of course.
  3. The only reason why I just dont like the rainier barrel is that it isnt heavy enough. I'm building this rifle with Tod Hodnets theory in mind. He believes that a shortish thick barrel is more accurate than thinner barrels the same length or longer. Given his track record I'm not going to question him.
  4. You sir, are going to make me broke. For the only logical reasons ;D
  5. But its a krieger, a krieger I've waited six months for. I dont wanna sell it already :'( I didn't think it got much better than them for a barrel. Also I just realized the 2 ars at the top of the page are the same way.
  6. Ya but I wanted a krieger everything would've been fine if they would've used a dpms style gas system on there dpms style barrels.
  7. Hey guys I made a post in the build thread about this but now im doing a little research. Basically I'm asking if anyone on here has a gap in-between there rails and gas block on any ar type rifle or have you seen one or know anyone that does? If so would you have bought a different gas block that would cover that gap up or know someone that would have? Example pic of what I'm talking about is below. My hopes are that this is common enough that a certain company will start producing gas blocks to solve this problem. Thanks Chris
  8. Here's a print that Mega sent me describing the difference. 5470_.pdf
  9. Robo that's what I was thinking as far as the gas tube. Even though the guy (I can't remember his name for some reason) I talked to from Krieger said that on his personal rifle he uses a regular ar15 gas tube and t works just fine. I asked if it was an 18 inch barrel and he said its a 26 inch, so my thoughts are that the longer barrel is providing the excess gas that mine wouldn't.
  10. Well guys I talked to Mega and showed them the pictures, they said the gap is mainly caused from the gas system being an armalite gas system. I was confused by this because I ordered a dpms style barrel so I called Krieger. They said that the only thing thats considered dpms is the barrel extension and that all there barrels use armalite style gas systems. So I called Mega back and we talked for a bit about them making a gas block for me and they said they'd have to have a meeting about it and that its possible since theres nothing like it on the market currently. Mega also recommended that since it is a armalite style gas system to go with a armalite gas tube since there slightly longer and the extra length will provide more gas to help with cycling since it is a shorter barrel. Any thoughts on this?
  11. Barrel without gas block.
  12. The gap without the barrel nut but with the barrel seated all the way in with the barrel nub (?) Indexed in the receiver is exactly 5/16 inch.
  13. The only thing I dont know about is how the end cap will look because of the way the rails are hollowed out so it makes kind of a plus sign instead of just a circle.
  14. I did a quick search for fsb's and couldnt find anything for .936 except the dpms a2 fixed style but I'd want flip. Any suggestions?
  15. The diameter is .936 I'll have the other measurements when I get home in about 30 min
