  1. I've been told by other dealers that once the form 3 is submitted by the initial dealer the form 4 can be submitted to speed up the waiting period. I don't deal with NFA items all the time, and I think I've learned a lesson. The next suppressor I get (I want an AAC Element2 for my 10/22 and ruger 22/45) I'll try to find a dealer that already has one in stock.
  2. I submitted a form 1 to SBR something 2 weeks ago... :o
  3. And now my real wait begins. I placed my order on this on December 4th and had it transfered to my local dealer. It took just over 11 weeks to get to him and he wouldn't do my form 4 until he had it in hand. Form 4 goes in the mail tomorrow. The bad thing is, he doesn't have a range and I can't take it to one to test it out. So I don't get to play with it until I get the form 4 back :-[
  4. To finish the pistol I need a BCG, charging handle, gas tube, forward assist, AAC 51T flash hider, and I really want to run a 10" Samson Evolution rail, but I don't know if I'll be able to work the quick disconnect on the suppressor with a 10" rail and 9.5" barrel. IIRC the inside diameter of that rail is 1.56" and the outside diameter of the 762-SDN-6 is 1.50". If I get any confirmation saying I won't be able to get the can off I'll probably go with a 9" rail. The pistol will eventually become a SBR with an eotech EXPS3-0 The only thing the rifle needs to finish it off is an EXPS3-0 or a TA31F ACOG, I can't decide. I probably won't be attempting to finish it until the panic buyers stop buying though... :cookoo:
  5. Finally got around to snapping a picture. The rifle in the the back is a SAA lower RRA LPK Daniel Defense chrome BCG 16" core15 barrel with 1/8 twist MOE buttstock MIAD pistol grip AAC brakeout comp and 13" troy alpha rail with front sight The bottom pistol is an Anderson lower Core15 9.5" barrel with 1/7 twist Core15 LPK Phase 5 tactical pistol buffer and will get a set of rails that completely cover the barrel and muzzle device, but leave room to work the QD on a 762-SDN-6 I have the paper work in for my SBR stamp, just waiting on it to come back, and waiting on my dealer to get my AAC 762-SDN-6 so I can start the paperwork on it.
  6. OK, I got an email from my attorney and have a few questions. I should probably call him and ask, but I figured I'd ask here also. He said that my benenificiary can not be the same person as my trustee. My plan was to make my wife my trustee and my beneficiary along with my son. So I guess I can't do that. So as the trustee, if I die my wife will just hold onto the supressor until my son is old enough to posses it? Also he told me that I should put 2 beneficiarys down. I really don't have anyone around me that I'd like it to go to if something where to happen. But I'd put my dad down just to be safe. The only thing is my dad doesn't live in the same state as me, so how would that effect it? Another thing, with my son being the beneficiary, when he's old enough will I be able to legally loan him the suppressor for him to use without me being there? and my son is a Jr. so do I need to put me down as Sr., even though I don't have Sr. on anything like my drivers license or any other form of ID?
  7. I talked to Eric from NCSilencer today and I have to use my attorney anyway... I already planned on it though.
  8. I just placed an order with NCSilencer for a 762-SDN-6 and in one of the emails I received I was told that they would also send me paperwork to start a trust. I have also contacted a pro second amendment lawyer that has done a number of trusts for silencers and he is supposed to send me paperwork to start a trust. My question is, is one trust better than the other? From the sound of it the trust from NCSilencer is either free or was added into the cost of the can. The trust from the semi local lawyer will cost me $250. Which should I go with?
  9. It will extract and eject while I'm firing it. I've put 22 rounds threw it and while shooting it it functions properly. Maybe it was just a new bcg issue, (although 22 rounds shouldn't have broken it in). I just grabed the gun and cycled 20 rounds threw it with no problem.
  10. Correct, it won't pull a live round out the chamber when I try to clear it. If I try it a few times the round will kind of just fall out, but it doesn't extract it. It works fine when being fired though, but I can't remember if the bolt holds open after the last shot.
  11. I guess I'll go the trust route. How do I find a gun lawyer? I googled them for mississippi and none are anywhere close to me. I guess it can all be done over the phone and through emails? Also what is the exact process of getting the can? Buy the can and have it sent to my class 3 dealer (which the dealer I talked to said it could take a couple months), then once he gets it I do my paperwork portion and send in a check to the ATF, then wait the few more months to get approved, then go pick it up? Or is the dealer to dealer transfer much faster than a couple months?
  12. I didn't know that Rainer arms sold suppressors. I'll probably go that route. Another question, is it best to get a trust wrote up and go that way, or get whoever it is to just sign it (if they will). I don't plan on owning multiple suppressors. The only other class 3 thing I'm thinking about is a SBR.
  13. Ok, to bring this back to life. Who knows what the current wait time is from start to finish? Next week I'm going to start the process and am just wondering. Also, what's the best way to purchase one? Directly from AAC (if they'll sell it), go through my dealer and get him to buy it, get from another source and have it transferred to my dealer and then transferred to me?
  14. I got the 300 finished and put 20 rounds threw it. It functions perfect and ejects at about the 4:30 position using remington UMC 115 grain rounds, so I'm guessing it's over gassed. Is that something I should be worried about? I plan to suppress it one day and run subs threw it sometimes, but I want it to run without any adjustments for both suppressed and unsuppressed. Also, I soaked my bolt in mobil one before test firing it. How many rounds should I put threw it running the mobil one? Another thing with the BCG. It's a daniel defense chrome BCG and when I try to cycle rounds by pulling the charging handle it doesn't extract, but when I fire the gun it does. Is this just something that has a break in period? Another thing, when I checked my brass there is a dent in the edge of the case from hitting the deflector, I'm guessing that goes along with being over gassed, but is that something I should worry about? I plan to do some reloads, but I think it will come out after running it threw a die. And I'll get some pictures and a parts list together later, I'm about to leave for work.
