if you read thru it there is a link to a thread where SEI or someone related to them posted that a few of their receivers had a heat treat issue. that should relieve Hammond of all of this. if that poster was not from SEI then they should go after him I guess.

i purchased an unfired Mega 308 with foilage green furniture but I am going to swap to black UBR stock MOE grip Front and rear GEN 1 BUIS GRIP LEFT THE REST IS SOLD $300 shipped to the lower 48 will trade for black stuff was mounted but is unused all in matching foilage green.

after the big Mega buy out of a few weeks ago I went on a search for a Mega Set that I could afford. I did not find just a set, but I did find a unfired build that was close to what I wanted to build so I bought it. here are the details: Mega Mono upper and lower set -I did get the box and wrench. Dpms LPK Rainer select 16 inch SS barrel Dpms 308 flash hider Dpms chrome BCG AR15 Magpul UBR stock Dpms CAR buffer and spring MOE grip Magpul gen 1 BUIS first 2 things I want to do is change to black furniture and I am open to what stock because of the second item. I want a heavier Buffer. the Dpms is just not heavy enough from what I read and I dont want to spend 100 just on the buffer. I was thinking of going to the PRS and using a rifle buffer and spring . (suggestions?)

Guys, thanks for all the help and options. I was able to purchase a built but unfired Mega Monolithic rifle. it was assembled from a upper/lower mega kit with Rainer select 16 inch barrel and magpul ubr furniture. I am happy that I got one and I can modify it from here to my liking thanks again.

More good points to ponder and i have looked at the DD rails and I am impressed. i am starting to lean that way as it would be way more cost effective NOW that people have bought up the mono's in the last 6 days. they still make the upper and lower just not the mono. keep the thoughts coming.

that is a really good option nad if i can't find one at a good price that will certainly do the trick. i guess the options are better that getting hosed on cost. thanks guys.

TOO LATE. already commenced. i was going to order one last week but i needed to wait till i got paid stupid me waiting till i had cash and not on credit.

i have been lurking here trying to read up and learn what i can to build a Mega 308. I sold a few of my ARs to build the Mega. I finally get the cash to purchase the monolithic upper and now i hear they are gone forever. I would like to purchase a Mega rifle length Monolithic quad rail upper. i have a NIB .556 version and cash or just cash for the deal. help please.
