well thanks for the input so far.... I have another question to add, Is there any clearance issues for thr sass barrel and vtac handguard, due to the fact of the special sass gas block?

Well im new to the forum and new to the .308 ar world..... I have been doing alot of research but I cant find the answer. Hers my question and I hope you can help.... I am looking at the DPMS SASS 18" barrel.. I see they also offer the lk-12 18" which is very similiar but it is a rifle length gas system. Is there that big of a difference as far as function and reliability? I want to go mid legnth because I like the gas block hidden.... Please give me your opnion... Thanks in advance Joe
