I am starting to spec out all the components for my SASS build and need some of the expert's opinions here. I was looking at the JP Bennie Cooley compensator and was wondering for those of you who have first hand experience, does it add a lot of weight to an already heavy upper? I do most of my shooting on the bench but sometime like to shoot off hand so I would like to keep the weight down as much as possible. Also, I was considering re-profiling the 18" SASS barrel behind the gas block. Is this a good idea to shave weight and still maintain barrel integrity? Thanks for any feedback.
