Hey All, I had a rather unusual day at the range yesterday, I took 50 rounds of the Nosler Custom Match in .308 168grn. and had 4 rounds that blew the primer out of the casing and marked up the head stamp pretty bad with a rather sever gouge and distortion of the rim. I used my bone stock R25 which has never had a miss-feed and will shoot 1/2" to 3/4" groups all day long. It was a nice sunny day, about 70deg. with no wind and the best I could get from this ammo was about 1.5" to 2" groups at 100 yards. I have contacted Nosler to see what they think and am awaiting a reply. Do you think it is safe to reload these cases as I had planed on doing so, also what do you think caused it, just got a few that were loaded to hot? Here's a few pics.
