  1. I've eyeballed Varget for my heavier loads, but in my Speer book, it shows them as a "compressed" load, which I haven't done. The other reason I've stayed with the H335 is that I can use the same powder for my 5.56 loads. Any pointers on the compressed loads?
  2. Another Pacific-Northwesterner. In the mountains of Northern Idaho. Elk, Moose, Bear, Deer, and Wolf within walking distance of the house. Glad to be apart of this.
  3. Poking my head into say "hi", and looking forward to learning something about my new rifle. I purchased a DPMS LR308 with the 24" barrel and the A3 style upper. I've attached a Leopold VX-II, 6-18x scope and after zeroing it in, my best group of the day was 1.51 inches at 200 yards with handloaded hunting ammo. (150 gr hornady v-max with H335 powder). I'm hooked for good now. I own several .308 rifles including a HK clone and a converted Saiga, which are allot of fun for blowing off allot of ammo, but I've found myself wanting to shoot longer and longer distances (accurately). Looking forward to listening to all of you and learning.
