  1. Well Brother, I'm moving up to Alaska! Hopefully late February to early March. Looks like it will be around the Delta Junction area. How much do you charge for the "Defending the Igloo" class?
  2. I spent a good portion of the day Wednesday pouring over the web and came across a beautiful build that was done using mostly Mega Arms lower and upper. Problem is, it was an AR-15! This company doesn't produce anything for the .308. You would think that the savvy business person would notice that there isn't many choices out there for the .308 and get in there and make a gold mine! Well if they can produce a high quality product anyway. It is just frustrating that between people telling you what products suck, don't use them, and what's left worth buying, doesn't amount to a hill of beans to choose from!
  3. They don't sell what anymore? A fully assembled .308, or lowers and uppers? Thank you everyone for the great advice, I appreciate it! Though that Leonidas is a pretty weapon, I'm still suffering from sticker shock :o
  4. Thank you for the quick response. I understood that, but, for instance, when people would mention a Noveske lower with an unnamed upper, they called it an AR-10. It just seems when ever DPMS is brought up by someone with a question, AR-10 is taboo. I have even seen someone say that a rifle with a DPMS lower is not an AR-10, it's a .308. I just thought it might be some kind of design thing, besides the all encompassing Armalite trademark issue.
  5. Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum. I recently retired from the military, and am in the planning stages of moving to the bush of Alaska. I admit I have been bitten by the bug to build an AR. I plan on doing both the AR-15 and AR-10. I hope I'm not opening a can of worms here, but this is a sincere question. I see alot of statements, but no true explanations of what the reason is. I consistently see people offended it seems, when a .308 DPMS is called an AR-10. Why do they say that it isn't an AR-10 if a DPMS lower is used? I'm sorry if I released the hounds with this question lol! Thank you for your time! God Bless, Jeff
