1. All good, a little sanding and my grip fits like a glove.
2. Thanks for the replys, I will get it on today, by the way yes my take down and selector spring go in from the bottom.
3. I am in the process of building a POF P308 AR and I just ran into a small problem. I just received my Tangodown BG17 pistol grip and found that my lower is too wide to fit the grip by about .017, i knowPOF used to use these but switched to Magpul grips. Either way both grips have the same specs listed. They say fit all AR15/16 and AR10 rifles. Could something be wrong with my grip or do i need to doa little sanding on the grip to fit my lower? Any help you can give mewould be very appreciated. Thanks for looking

POF 308 PICTURES

Here are a couple of pics with my assembled POF , still need a trigger and pistol grip. Then will start on the upper. I could use some suggestions for my barrel, leaning towards a DPMS just for the cost, but I do know there are some better ones on the market. I would like to keep the $ down a bit. POF 308 PICTURES

I hope you all don't mind me chiming in on this post, but here is a pic of my lower and Vltor IMOD stock. I am just getting started on my first 308 build. After reading the post here looks like I have a lot more research to do on which upper I can use. By the way nice pics guys.
8. Thanks for the warm welcome, I will PM jgun to see what help he can give me. Trust me I am doing research on top of more research before I purchase.
9. I see I am not the only one looking to do this. My wife got me a stripped POF lower for Christmas and I am just now starting my lower build. I was told by POF that their lower parts are MIL SPEC .223 except for the pins that they include with the lower. I just ordered my parts kit from Wilson Combat, my buffer tube and spring, hammer and trigger pin, and a few other parts from POF, I did get a Vltor IMOD stock which I am very impressed with the look and feel. PLEASE PM me if you can I would really like to get more info on what you have found out on your upper. I really am not looking to drop $2K on one of their uppers, I did contact DPMS and they claim their upper would fit the POF lower. After reading these two post I am concerned now.
10. First I want to say I from Ohio, I am new to the forum as well I am starting my first AR style 308. My awesome wife got me a stripped POF P308 lower for Christmas. I plan on staying with POF for my lower parts, but really like Wilson Combat 3g trigger (hoping it will fit a 308) I alsolkke fbe Vltor stock they are using. What I am debating over is what upper to go with. Stay with POF, go with DPMS, or Rock River? I have heard many many things just ti the week I have started looking. Like I have to stay with the same manufacture for upper and lower (finding out this is not true) also is it better to go gas piston or direct gas? The tech at POF is telling me the 308 is really difficult to build from the ground up. Issues with feeding, jamming, ejecting, and accuracy. Please any suggestions and any books reference materials would be greatly appreciated. thanks for ready and sorry for being long winded.
