Hey everyone, this will serve as an intro, as well as my first question, i picked up a DPMS 16" .308 the other day, and i am kind of concerned about something. I was in the Army for 5 years, and am used to the 5.56, and ive read some of this forum and this seems to be common... so here it goes... is it supposed to be this tight? it was HARD to charge it.... and im not a weakinling. Havent fired it yet, and i figured that with the bigger parts it tends to mess up when babied, but is it normal for a new rifle to be this tight.. its a fairly low serial number, i got it on consignment and was told by the store and the owner that it was a safe queen, and it looks it, not a mark on it, all spotless, including the interior and BCG. so, let the flaming begin, am does it just need to be broken in? or what?
