  1. No argument here either, added ERGO-F93 also spring and buffer, APEX hand guard and adjustable gas block. Nice set up, with one exception; with the 5 round mags. from S&W or DMPS. Also a few of my 20 round P mags; failure to feed was a common experience. So now it’s on its way to being gone. I striped it down to what it was and will use the after market on another build. I have better things to do with my time then rebuild S&W’s lousy QC. I am glade to hear your m&p runs great for you and wish you the best of luck.
  2. You’re not alone in your thoughts of selling this fine piece of equipment and giving the headache to someone who thinks the M&P10 is fine as is.
  3. UPS says; my M&P AR-10 SKU# 811311 (civ. mod. Not Calf.) will be in my hands Monday 04/08. I have been on the computer for the past week beating my brains out trying to find enhancements for this rifle. What I have found is bits and pieces of information that leads to more questions. S&W web page has zero on compatibility and on another forum I am informed asking S&W for measurements of any type is somewhat of a waste of time. On You Tube I found some info, one guy trying to switch barrels, plus other parts to something “he” thought was or would enhance accuracy, it did not work; S&W threads and bolt carriers are proprietary! As I look for a 15” carbon fiber free float hand guard I question, if the threading will match up ? Also the trigger at 6+ lbs. for the use I plain for this rifle, I will need to sit with my gunsmith before I start ordering enhancement parts for it. There are a good number of postings from people that have the rifle in hand and say as is; it will do 1 MOA at 100 yards. (with “good” ammo). My objective is to remove as much weight as I can; keeping the accuracy to what it is supposed to be now or enhancing it. Switching out, Hand guard for a 15” carbon fiber free float hand guard, S&W muzzle brake, for Surefire MB762-211C Muzzle Brake / Suppressor Adapter, S&W 6+ lb. trigger, to one someplace in 3 lb. range, adjustable stock, to Skeleton Stock if weight reduction is worth it?

    Hi !

New member from MO. Just joined, I guess as normal a few words to say Hi and some background. I have enjoyed the AR platform for more years then I like to think of. The 308 Win./7.62 x 51 has always been my first choice in the platform. Starting with ArmaLite AR-10a 16” for years, trading that off for my POF P308 20”. Sometime back I added a Stag Mod. 5, 6.8 cut to 14 ¼” adding a pined Surefire muzzle brake QD. That done for an added goody of .30 cal. if uncle sugar ever gives me his blessing? If this photo thing works, the target is at 300 yards, first shot cold clean, that’s the hole in the red dot. Second is after three rounds, then fire for effect, off to left just a bit. Jake
