  1. I think its good now, but if I decided to do it - Do you know of a video or picture step-by-step how to? Thanks!
  2. Well, I got a hogue grip today and installed it. The first time I screwed it down, the safety fell out. lol. The spring didn't seat on the little pin that holds the safety in and allows it to rotate. So, I finally got that in the right way and I think its good. Safety appears to work fine. I might have a chance to shoot it for the first time and break the barrel in tomorrow. On a side note, I noticed that the magazine it came with "can" hold 20 - however 19 is what it should only hold. If I put 20 in, its a little hard to lock in and I can't pull the charging handle. I removed 1 and the mag snaps in easily and charging handle is no problem. So, the mag is a bit out of spec by allowing 20 when it shouldn't or its a tad bit short.
  3. I didn't want to take the one off my ar-15. I know.... I'm weird like that. I'd rather leave the stock one on until I can get something I know will work. I've got a few places close to me that I can definitely get a magpul or hogue grip from. They even still have high cap mags. You know Barrett? :) They own/run Outpost Armory here in TN which is about 15 miles from my house. They have plenty of stuff still. There are a couple other places too that I know have various stuff in stock. Heck. I think even Walmart had grips in stock yesterday when I bought some ammo.
  4. Thanks the for warm welcome and Merry Christmas! :) I'm just south in TN :) I've got a hogue on my ar-15 and would like to stick to the same grip/feel if possible. I'm just worried and curious if I'll have to modify it any or will it just fit right on? In searches, I was turning up stuff from 2008 and 2010 where some people were talking about having to drill or trim part of it off to let the safety work correctly for this DPMS LR-308. :) Thanks again for your quick response. I'm just researching what I need to be after before buying something...hopefully tomorrow at the LGS
  5. Just got a lr-308 today. I've been reading the Hogue has troubles fitting on, but the stuff I've been reading is a bit old. Does the problem still exist?
