  1. Here's my bolt it does say jp on it
  2. I'll have to order those at some point, I'm an impatient son of a gun and I wanna shoot. I've been to the range three or four times in the past week and a half trying to fix this thing
  3. What does that typically cost to get done? I thought the set screws are supposed to dig into the barrel. im going get my other bolt headspaced
  4. I believe it says jp but I'll report back after work
  5. I'll have to take a pic of my extractor for your critique later on tonight. By looking at the jp enhanced extractor it has a bulge up top mines just smooth all the way across. The of it also sits a bit higher I'll have to double check. I'll get a new gas block and get my secondary bolt head spaced and see if that's the problem
  6. It came with my barrel I got it late last year or this year I don't remeber.
  7. I found a gas block locally, my friend showed his gun smith the pictures of the gas block I have here and he said it was bad. I'm a try that to see if it fixes my problem. I usually don't take the barrel of but I did this time because starting to get frustrated I just want to shoot haha
  8. I have been thinking it's the gas block, since the first time I've shot it it has slight creeped forward. I'm looked at the wilson and slr blocks. Any suggestions? Looking for an adjustable one http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=57&product_id=85
  9. I'll have to double check everything when I get a chance. Here are some pics I took last night after a range trip of my gas tube. I'll add one thing, I didn't completely clean the rifle before yesterday's trip to the range. I just took out the bcg cleaned and re lubed and went. Ps. My gas tube is just a standard length tube. Probably ment for a ar15 I'm assuming is there such a diffrence between a 308 and ar15 tube Pass messed with my rifle a bit here before work and my stock ever so slightly can be rocked side to side but only slighty. Same thing with my upper if I grasp it with some good tension I can kinda shift hardly at all though. Just trying to help you guys help me
  10. So this is normal?
  11. I thought that's how you tested for bad gas rings but I could be wrong. It was failing to eject the brass. And another problem arose this time. The bcg would get stuck in the forward position after a shot being fired and it would take a lot of force to pull it back. Seemed to get stuck. Only sometimes though. Twist rate is 11.25 I believe. The only stuff I've seemed to have success was the nolser
  12. Do you guys suppose this is my problem? I'm still having issues even with federal smk and pour match 168 gas rings? I long as I remeber my jp was never as tight fitting as the shadow ops one and always had that slight play that you see in the video. http://vid838.photobucket.com/albums/zz309/EDUARDO88/Mobile%20Uploads/20140710_180435_zps3144d3ce.mp4
  13. I've been keeping my self busy with learning about ballistics and such. I'm going to start a cheat sheet for my next trip to the range
  14. Lmao my trigger finger is itchy
  15. I can't stop going to the range to shoot my rig.... how do you guys cope when you can't go :'( it's just to much fun..
  16. Thanks brothers
  17. So on the first image the center where both horizontal and vertical lines meet is 100. Then on the next major hash marks it's jumps up by 285 yards to end up at 385? So then its not a consistent increase using the hash marks because then it jumps up by 185 to end up at 570 or am I looking at this wrong?
  18. I'm hooked on that guys videos
  19. You know what i I started to watch a Video with that guy but it was to long, I know he suggest going by meters and not yards
  20. Reading the manual kinda blows me away, I definitely need to get a note pad for my range calculations and the ballistic charts for my ammo haha holy moly
  21. I'll have to double check the manual. Vortex viper mil dot 6.5-20x44
  22. I know each mark indicates 100 yards, I was just wondering about the longer range shooting. I'm assuming I zoom up shoot and them adjust then return to zero when done?
  23. Not sure if I'm in the right section guys, but after my 100 yard zero do I just increase the magnification to increase the yardage? Or what's the proper way of let's say shoot up to 600 yards. Do I use the hash marks on reticle? Or will i still need to mess with the turrets? First time with a scoped rifle so I apologize for all these questions
  24. Thanks, now I just need to wait for my ammo shipment to come in :)
