  1. I will try and get more detailed information if I am able. Not sure where he purchased it or if a different company "built" it using a DPMS lower and/or upper. Will post when I know more info.
  2. Hello, My friend's son recently purchased a DPMS Oracle. He likes it and it seems to be a great gun. I haven't seen it first hand, but my friend says the firearm is labeled ".308 multi" I'm not sure if this marking is on the barrel or on the lower receiver. I'm not sure what this "multi" marking would mean. I know that the DPMS website states that all the Oracles are chambered for .308Win/7.62x51. Does anyone here have an explanation? I have purchased AR style stripped lower receivers before that were marked "multi-cal" before. Thanks in advance for any information or insight anyone may have on this subject.
  3. I ended up making an order from Brownells and got an entire .308 kit with tube, spring and buffer just to be safe. Finished the build and it is pretty nice. Haven't sighted in the Nikon M308 yet because of weather, but hope to do soon. Thanks for all of your help.
  4. Hi, I have a complete DPMS Oracle 16" bbl and am looking for a set of sights that will be the right height. I see that the gas block rail is lower than the upper. Would this take the same profile sights as an Ar-15 upper with a low profile gas block rail or is this a completely different spec? Thanks. Shovel
  5. I just introduced myself in the "Introductions" thread. Yes, I do have a 1966 Electra-Glide that I get to enjoy when there isn't 8" of snow on the ground and freezing temperatures here in Rhode Island. I just ordered a .308 buffer tube kit from Brownells. I could have just gotten a spring and buffer, but it isn't that much more $ to get the entire kit. Thanks everyone.
  6. Just joining your group from Rhode Island. I bought the S&W M&P10 and currently building a DPMS pattern AR-308. Have already been lurking and enjoying all the good people's information and experience. shovel
  7. Hi. I'm new to this forum have found a lot of good info here. Thanks. I am building a DPMS pattern lower from 80%. I got the lower completed and installed the DPMS LPK. It all came out perfectly. I think I brain farted though. I have plenty of mil-spec sized buffer tube and stock kits for AR-15s. Would I be able to use any of these parts (tube, spring, buffer) or will I have to get a kit dedicated for the stouter .308 round. I also thought the longer pull on the charge handle may affect the buffer tube length. Thanks for any and all info. shovel
