I have recently acquired a couple of .308 ARs and figured I'd come somewhere to get the skinny on them. I picked up a Series II Rhinoarms .308 with 18" fluted HB and she's a total tack driver with my 168 FGGM dupe loads. I dropped an old SWFA SS10X42M on her and stuck on a CAA BSRS bipod on it and off to the range we went. I was just blown away at the ragged 5-shot groups it does out to 250. Maybe I'll put on a little better glass, but my Mark 4 Lupy rides a bolt gun now. The other rifle I got was a very, very lightly used POF P308 with 14.5" barrel. I dropped a Leupold VX-R 1.25-4 Patrol on it and found my 3-gun rifle !!! I've been a .308 shooter since the early 70s (M60 LMG) and have Fals and M14s but had not considered a .308 AR. Glad I did. I never had any use for the AR system and mostly from Army days and dirty ammo. I like the .308 versiobn very well.
