I'm in, already strategizing... I need help!

Well last November I joined here with the topic "Build almost completed", how naive was I? I now realize that the "Build" is never completed! Regardless, this is where it's at as of today... I look forward to getting more active on here!

I'm thinking Mandrake on the receiver set and handguard, the rest will be a contrasting solid color that is in the Mandrake. But to cerakote kryptek is going to basically be coating it at least four times, I'm concerned that cerakote won't be as detailed as a dip. Decisions decisions, I feel like a chick picking out a purse to match her shoes, lol

Thanks! Hopefully the BCG shows up soon so I can break it in. What's everyone's thoughts or opinions on Cerakote and dipping? I was going to do a hybrid part cerakote part dip, but I'm real concerned that the dipping will look plastic. I've seen some that look great though, durability is a concern as well. I'm certainly not going to drag it behind the truck on a gravel road, but I'm not sure how minor dings will affect it. From what I understand, the clear duracoat makes it very durable. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thank you. It's XLR Industry. I wanted to stray from the PRS, it has a good amount of adjustability. I can hardly wait for the BCG to arrive, I need to send some rounds down range to break this thing in, I'm Jonesing!

It's been a long time coming, but this thing is almost done! Waiting on grip, trigger and BCG, then it's off to the range. Can't forget the optics though.

Thanks for the "welcomes"! This build has been over half a year in the making, coming to the final stretch. Still trying to decide on the stock, but hopefully will choose it soon, then off to Cerakote. Looks like the RRA is getting a big brother

I'm close to completing my build and was looking to stray a bit from the norm. I'm looking at XLR's Tactical stock versus the Magpul PRS. A lot of searching on the internet has returned concerns with the cheek rest prohibiting the charging handle from completely going back. In speaking with XLR and receiving photos, the adjustability of the stock seems to alleviate that. Although, I am unsure as to how the 7" tube will play a roll, even with a carbine spring and buffer. There is really nothing out there regarding this. Any input would be appreciated!! Thanks
