Well if I knew the basic rifle (the DSR) was the same, ie: same receivers, same BCG, same barrel...I'd buy one in a heartbeat just to have a '10 with Pmags. I have 2 B models and I think 25-30 20 rnd mags, but still would like the option. They were clever enough to not allow B uppers to fit the A lowers. Thanks for the response.

If it's the same barrel, I agree. I've had two of them in the past. Yours shoots good... they're usually 1.5-2 moa.

So you believe that by buying the SDR you can save almost 600.00 and get basically the same rifle as the AR10A4 CBF? I really don't care much about the rest of the rifle except the receivers and BCG. I usually build my rifles from scratch but you can't buy the A model receivers alone, so the next best thing would be DSR as a foundation. Probably re-barrel it and do the stock and hand guards. Or not...might just put an A2 stock on it and a good barrel and leave it as a basic carbine. I wonder if it uses the same BCG and barrel as the B model.

OK...I meant AR10A but can't seem to edit that. Sorry. Can someone explain the differences between the two? Where is the >$500.00 price difference? I see a single stage trigger on the DSR vs a two stage tactical on the A, and the A says it has a phosphate coated 4140 barrel, the DSR only says "chromoly". Anything else anyone is aware of? Are the receivers and BCG the same? Thanks in advance.

I checked the barrel extensions on the Lothar barrels and they were within a few tenths. Had to make the tool. I use it to check concentricity at the same time.

Basically checking concentricity of the receiver and barrel and squaring the face of the receiver where the barrel seats. Also fitting oversized "match" pins.
