  1. Yeah I understand it doesn't lock it down but it sure as hell isn't going far with a tube in the way. As for bolts coming loose, you've never worked on race cars much, particularly dirt cars! ? Everything comes loose even properly torqued, locktite, etc. I appreciate the Info guys!
  2. I've built quite a few AR15's. I understand how the gas tube "locks" the barrel nut in place should it decide to loosen up. I understand the torque specs of the Ar10 platform. My question is as follows. On many rail systems their proprietary nut does not have any tangs, tits, tabs etc as an anti loosening design. Do you just have to torque to specs and hope it never loosens up ? What's the deal on these 308 guns? Thanks!
  3. Anybody have a guess if an LR25 mag would feed into this funky RRA feed ramp?
  4. Another thing I just realized... The RRA has a funky feed ramp. I wonder if it will work with the SR25 mags that the pa10 uses. It's kind of nuts that the AR10 didn't get standardized.
  5. Well, thanks Mike. As stated in my original post I would definitely check the headspace. I guess my question should have been this... The RRA barrel fits the Pa10 upper. If I run a RRA bolt, and a dpms style carrier... I would have RRA bolt and barrel. But then again, I might sell this barrel and just matching everything. Thanks guys.
  6. I bought an 18" X series fluted RRA barrel to put in my budget build pa10. The barrel is a "dpms" pattern as is the PA10(sorta). Is there a normal length Bcg that would mate with the RRA barrel extension and work? I would have it headspaced to be sure. I really don't want to have to use the oddball long RRA Bcg, charge handle, short buffer etc. ideas? Thanks!!
  7. Im new to the 308 platform but have assembled quite a few 15's. I enjoy shooting 308 bolt action stuff. But it's time to enjoy the semi auto 308 now. Cool forums. Thanks.
