  1. Okay, Finally got to shoot the .308 today..... Here's what i did and what works..... so i changed out the bolt carrier group for the D Wilson and installed a Tubbs buffer spring. Now here is what that did..... The bolt will lock back but there is a extractor problem. It pulls and case out of the chamber and it will lay on top of the magazine so if i have more then one round in the magazine it will jam because the spent case is still in there. So i will take the bolt apart and see what is going on....The D Wilson bolt does not lock up very smooth also.... Next i put the ARES bolt carrier group with the TUBBS spring and the gun runs fine....
  2. I have ordered a new D Wilson bolt carrier asm. and a new Tubbs buffer spring. I need to get to the range and see what is going on...
  3. Wash Next ? what coating ?
  4. What bolt carrier should i buy?? I will take this one apart, but i will get a new one coming
  5. Can you see the photo's now?
  6. Hope this helps.... Thanks so much for helping me out with this....
  7. LR10 308 WIN.zip
  8. Washguy, I dont understand what you mean " pull the charging handle back and let the mag catch hold the bolt." do you mean the bolt catch? My buffer is 2.50" not 2.25... I'm coming up with 28 coils. When i pull the charge handle back and lock it with the bolt catch, I can pull the bolt back about 3/16" more... When I said "Bolt lug is hitting the back of the case to push it forward. What i mean is the bolt is pushing the case forward and not the carrier..
  9. Spring is 11.25" buffer is 2.25"and the inside of the tube is 7" Mag release is as tight as i can get it..... Bolt lug is hitting the back of the case to push it forward.. I'm at a lose..
  10. Ballistic Advantage 16" .308 Barrel, Government Mid-Length is the barrel a have
  11. Okay, I will not get time to shoot the gun for awhile. So I CLP the hell out of it. Just manually running the bolt by hand. If the bolt is locked back and I hit the bolt release it will chamber, pull the charging handle back the whole way and let it fly, it will jam every time.... It seems that when the bullet hits the feed ramp it shoots the bullet upwards to much and thats when the bolt will jam about in the middle of the case... I did try a Brownells Metal mag did not make a difference
  12. Home build 147 FMJ. New gun Magpul 20 round mag. First 10 rounds ran fine. 16" mid length DPMS upper and lower. Carbine buffer 11.25" spring and 3.80oz buffer. Ares Armour NIC bolt.
  13. This going to be hard to explain. I guess you would call it a failure to feed problem. The bolt will start the case out of the mag then the bolt will not feed stright into the bore. The bolt will ride over top the case and jam it at a 45 degree angle. Need Help
