Thanks for the info I really appreciate it . I live in the country where there is actually a range out to 1200 yards where my good friend shoots and teaches long range shooting. My uncle is recently retired as a counter sniper for the president so the learning curve should be much shorter I have shot bolt guns a ton and never really had a ton of interest in ar style rifles until Obama said they were bad ;). My budget isn't huge but I think I can still build a great gun. Not that I'm rich but the wife gave me the blessing to build a really good gun . I will check into the rra never heard of them

Money is here ready to build ! Where is the best place to buy quality complete upper ? Am I able to buy a complete upper that will be accurate enough or do I need to buy barrel and and build upper ?

Probably going to do a vortex scope for the first round somewhere around 6-24x50 . 22 or 24 inch barrel and a giessel trigger . Just going to go with the 308 should be more than capable with a good shooter? Thoughts ?

that's what I wanted will that work with a regular ar 10 lower ?

Question about the 80% lower why will it effect accuracy it will be done on a cnc machine it was half again more than a complete lower just like the idea of no serial number. I'm not opposed to a 26" barrel either. I'm more leaning towards the standard 308 also will be much easier to find ammunition! Any suggestions on where to buy the best upper ?

I'm brand new to the site and also new to the ar. I want to build a long range ie 1000 yards! I'm on the fence on many things hoping for help. First caliber I'm thinking 6.5 creedmoor? Second barrel length I'm thinking 22" at least . I'm concerned about the 6.5 I have read there are cycle issues ? I'm very open to suggestions. Also where to maybe find the cad specs as I bought the 80% lower
