so far its looking like..... genesis cnc lower which takes a dpms style trigger and pmags, but armalite uppers LaRue MBT-2 trigger and for the style i want, an ARMALITE AR10A2 CARBINE UPPER but i cant find one! i would imagine all the cool kids with armalite ar10a2s want the a4 upper recievers! and the wood for ars walnut stock and hand guard and id be set!!!

Hello, ill first introduce myself, Im aaron, im 26 years old, Ive been milling and lathing stuff since i was 13 years old, I was taught to machine things the right way by a retired mold maker who was a major player in the manual era. i'm into designing and building all kinds of things, but most often race car, motorcycle and bike parts. (Really guns would be like hobby number 307) I have a Bridgeport and a lathe with plenty of tooling and i know how to use them! I have never built a gun of any type before, but i have machined some pretty intricate stuff, finishing a lower looks like cake. my normal forums are thumpertalk.com and speedtalk.com i am on there about ever other hour. now that that is out of the way, I'm here for a little help I would like to do a 308 since everyone and their sister have at least two ar15's and everyone can appreciate a bigger bang! I would like to do an 308AR this style carry handle wood stock and hand guard..... because everyone has a tactical stuff these days, i find this calssy, just my style I think i have sorted through the types ar10a ar10b, dpms, sr25 which on the net is pretty annoying, wish i could pick the stuff up and hold it!!!!! I think i understand the differences now ill get to the questions I think i would like to use a genesis CNC upper and lower set at least I think I do anyways??? DO I 1. Is there any reason not to use the genesis CNC set? 2. so for my toy (i like nice toys) can you recommend a trigger for me? I dont need to spend $$$$$ but i like nice stuff I see they say it can use any dpms or ar barrels, this is confusing to me as i though they were incompatible I would really like an 18" or even 16" barrel 3. would an armalite part no B10A4C be a good choice? 3.5 should I look elsewhere for a barrel? If so Where? 4. will i be able to find wood furniture for this rifle? 5. how about freefloating wood handguard? Should i forget about that since I like the look of a traditional hand guard? or are the benefits enough that i should find a free floating wood hand guard if one exists 6. what about the carry handle and sights? sorry for all the noob questions any help appreciated thanks, AARON ENGLERT
