  1. Forgot to thank you Boot_Scraper, sometimes I forget why I came in the kitchen or some other part of the house, it's a bitch getting old
  2. Just a little information, I sent the pictures to PSA customer service and the next day I got a email saying they would gladly take the upper and lower back and Send me a new one or fix the problem , I thought about that for a bit and decided that I'll take the weapon to the range and if it functions like it should without FTFor FTE I'll just keep it, if there are problems then I'll take up there offer
  3. Have you got any pictures of yours that shows the gap between the lower and upper, just curious
  4. You made me nervous about my BCG so I searched the Internet for pictures of BCG installed in AR10 and most were centered on the port door but I did find some similar to the way mine is, so as long as the door closes I should be GTG right!!, you need to remember that I'm kind of new to the AR so when you say something doesn't look right I take your years of experience with this type of weapon and check it out,a good thing, and as someone wise told me once (keep your mouth shut and listen you might learn something ) thank you 698Z5V ,17000 posts that's impressive
  5. Mr Paul what upper did you use for your 80% lower if you don't mind me asking
  6. 98Z5V you made me get the weapon and check out your question, closed the ejection port door and put a mag in and cycled it a few times seems ok
  7. Was looking at lowers the other day and ran across Tennessee arms they advertise a 308 complete lower with brass insert for the buffer tube anyone try these out, light, lifetime guarantee, have friends that use the 223 polymer from NFA and real happy with it also lifetime guarantee
  8. I figured as much on fit being i did not pay in the 3000 range, after I have dry fired for a week or so lubing up real good cleaning it as well, I'll run out to the range and see how she handles I will report back on my findings, thank you for the reply
  9. After closer inspection took these pictures, should I be concerned with the mating
  10. OK ,being a former QA on rocket moters maybe I'm being to critical.but asking the members of this forum for there opinion. After mating up my PSA complete gen2 lower with PSA gen2 18 inch midlenth308 stainless steel complete upper it went together just fine after pinning it front and back the lower and upper was nice and tight, no movement at all between the lower and upper, took these pictures
  11. I have to get a mlok to picatinny rail mount so I can mount the tripod, my boy said he has one to send me,as soon as I get that and mount the tripod I'll weigh the beast and send pictures, I will use this 308 for hunting pigs and target practice along with my 223
  12. Dam I guess that mine being in the 11- 12 range is what I can expect, I guess a good comfortable sling is needed for sure if I plan on taking it on long trips, 98Z5V your right, I meant 20 round mag not 30 I was thinking of my 223 30 round mags. When I went to lift it after installing the scope it weighed a ton without the front tripod and loaded magazine so that is why I asked the question thank you for the reply
  13. Just mated my PSA complete lower to a PSA complete upper ,Fit nice and tight, no movement between upper and lower, my thoughts on the space between the curve of the upper mating the curve in the lower after rear pin is in ,thinking that could have been a closer tolerance but after range run it should not effect funtion I'm hoping, I'll post range results after I return, lubed up the BCG good (mobile 1) lubed up everything on weapon doing racking the slide with and without rounds in pmag 20 for a week
  14. Thank you survival shop I figured that it would be around 10 or more I just pined the upper to my lower and added my scope from my 223 and when I went to pick it up it seemed like a ton, i do not have a good scale just the one in the bathroom that you stand on ,I guess I could stand without the 308 take my weight then pick up the weapon and take the weight again
  15. Hi all just a question probably been asked before what should the weight of a AR10 or similar weapon system be weighing in at, with scope, tripod ,30 round mag fully loaded
