Google brought me here, i did some reading around the forum, and decided to sign up. My AR10 history started with a DPMS that i purchased at the wrong time (after sandy hook), enjoyed shooting, but never really got to exercise it properly (indoor ranges in south florida SUCK). Sold it, moved to the west coast. I recently put together a "pa10" from stripped lower and complete upper. Had to buy parts from Palmetto to complete it, and surprise surprise, i received horrible customer service. ordered their lower parts kit, and they sent an ar15 kit instead (including buffer spring, buffer, bolt catch, mag catch). contacted them, and they said they'd ship me the "parts i'd need to fix it". i asked for expedited shipping, was told no, even offered to pay extra (even though this was their mistake) and was told "no, we don't do business like that".
so, weeks and weeks later, the "correct" parts show up, and i assemble the gun. after multiple issues with the gun not cycling, having to mortar it to get unfired rounds out of the gun, and other miscellaneous gripes, i traded it off to a coworker.
and now i miss having an AR10. so i'm here to learn what i can do to put a better gun together, this time from parts, no complete uppers for me.
