Not sure why the images aren't working?.. Has any one chronograph this rifle yet? I'm looking at working up a Sierra match king load next.

Well, I got some good groups from the psa ss barrel using varget, and SST 165gr bullets. Before i was using hornady sp 165gr, and imr4064. And was getting 1.5" groups. I must say I'm still thinking about a criterion barrel lol! Here's the 4064, 42.5gr And then the varget 44gr... big difference.

Would it be different in a bolt gun? because I see 2526fps on that round from a18"barrel.

I got a question about ballistics. I've looked And looke at ballistics tables. In using hornady black 168gr a max. And on the box it says a 1 inch drop at 200yds. In a few calculators it says around a 4 inch drop. I'm using a ar308 bushnell optics scope with a bdc reticle that is made for 168gr bullets. And it shows different bullet drop then both of them.

Right, but the other mags will not work correct?

Btw, I've seen that dpms, sr25 style mags do not work with this rifle any one know how true that is? Pmags are hard to find in 20rd.

I rechecked alk the hardware, and blue loctite which there was no sign of on any of them. I can't really check the barrel nut, it seems tight. Like yours the gas tube touches the barrel nut too. I'll get on grabbing different ammo for it asap. And see how it does. I'll look at a gas block too.

I didn't torque the scope mount just a little blue loctite and after seated a half turn more. In cleaning, I went one tight patch with hops and then a bout six runs with a brush dipped In hops.

Straight out the box new. I added a bipod, and an ar optics 4-18×40mm. At the indoor range i shot 40 rds imi nato and than. 20 rds fgmm. After a thorough cleaning, i shot the fgmm, and hornady amax at 100yds. And got three 2"group. Have i ruined the barrel not breaking ur in properly, or am I expecting tomuch out of this barrel.

That's with hornady a max 168. Fgmm wasn't any better which which surprised me.

So, those are some nice groups your getting. I've got the 18"ss and can't group better then 2 inches at 100yd. Any help welcome.
