  12. Start with a 5/64 drill bit then go to numbered bits, or do I buy a set of # bits (49) and go down from there?
  13. Sounds good I have a drill press at the shop I'll use, new spring is ordered as well. When it comes to the drilling I grabbed a dowel rod from Lowes tonight and will do it on a press if the spring doesn't work.
  14. Wash, I measured my buffer tube it was 7" even and I'll double measure gas port in the morning thanks again. The drilling is still making me nervous...

  19. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it. Those springs are on back order, I'll order one regardless. Then if that doesn't fix it time to drill.
  20. Collapsible, I'll measure that as well thanks.
  21. It's carbine buffer tube will measure tomorrow. Buffer is 2.5" long, spring was just under 11", and spring was 28 coils.
  22. Well it all started with a Juggernaut tactical upper and lower, started piecing her together with CMMG internals, 20" X-Caliber barrel chambered in 7mm-08 with a 1:9 twist magpul stock and grip, 15" free float hand gaurd, Athlon opticts. Now to get it cycling right it will be all set and I'll be a happy person.
  23. Hello from Kentucky. I've owned a few AR's in the past but now I can finally say I built my own. I have definitely had a learning curve with this being my first build, but after I get this cycling issue down sights are set on 1000 yards with that said ears are always open for advice. Thanks everyone!
  24. Sounds like what I've been hearing. I will measure it accurately tomorrow at work, I checked with a set of bits tonight. It was between a .0625" (1/16) which fit and a .078" (5/64) which did not fit.
  25. Will do I appreciate the help in advance!
