  1. For what I paid for the gun and my lack of desire to throw money at an entry level gun it was simply not worth digging deeper, the gun was reliable though.
  2. The rifle actually ran great i did notice it is highly over gassed and very concussive to shoot the gun with a muzzle brake, I never had issues but that being said I no longer own the gun the lack of common parts and the fact that PSA no longer makes these gun had me concerned for long term ownership, I picked up an M1A and traded the PX10 for a 1911.
  3. I'm by no means a shotgun expert but I can't see why it couldn't be threaded I don't think I will go that route as I like the old school basic look as of now the only upgrades are a Nordic aluminum follower and the sling and shell carrier and a good cleaning and oiling with MilPro7.
  4. Ordered and took delivery on a new Tac-14 Hardwood model that looks just like the Witness Protection models from years ago. Added a leather sling and she'll holder and makes a great bedside/trunk gun.
  5. A Magpul K2 grip and a Raptor handle for a DPMS G2 works in the PX10 however the Elcan clone does not hold up to the 308 rounds.
  6. A DPMS G2 Charging handle will work like it was designed for it in the Palmetto PX10 function is great and it locks up and unlocks like the factory latch.
  7. A range report on the palmetto PX10. After being stripped down and cleaned and oiled with MilPro7. All rounds fired from the gun with no issues whatsoever, after each 20 round mag fired both slow and fast the bolt locked open on the last round. I was shooting for function not grouping since I had my six-year old son along. The rifle charged ok but the combination of the heavy buffer spring required for the 308 combined with the smaller mil spec charging handle made it not so fun or easy to charge. A DPMS G2 small frame .308 charging handle is on its way along with a Magpul K2 grip so the grip angle will be similar to my other AR. After tearing the rifle down after the range session it was very easy to clean with no excess carbon fouling. The bolt showed no hot spots as far as wear is concerned and the part fitment seems to be wearing in nicely. The gun is well worth the 599 I paid and shoots great will be a good basic deer rifle.
  8. Received the gun on 7/18. All looks good no loose nuts or bolts, rifle came bone dry, stripped it down and lubed it up with MilPro7, added the iron sights to the rail and reciever both which were very tight due to the thickly applied coating. Added a surefire muzzle brake and a sling using the existing qd holes with no issues. The trigger breaks cleaner than a mil spec but not match grade at all. Range report to follow in a few weeks, In the meantime searching for a compatible charging handle.
  9. Received the rifle on 7/18 had a Raptor LT handle for an AR10, not a chance in the picture the Raptor is on the far left, the PX10 handle is in the middle and a standard AR15 handle is on the right. A raptor handle for the DPMS g2 will be ordered to try out in this PX10.
  10. I have noticed that as well, I suck at article format writing but I do have decent luck with making YouTube reviews so once I get caught up on my videos and the rifle comes in I can post up a video.
  11. It certainly appears I will be the guinea pig. I have a few AR10 parts I've already ordered so once I confirm that they are too big and they are sent back and I can take some measurements and hopefully find specs on the DPMS G2 and find out what is cross compatible with AR15 parts. Then make this rifle run.
  12. Waiting on a rifle to come in so trying to get a jump on ordering the accessories, I'm new to 308 AR style rifles. I understand that the PX-10 is a medium frame 308 but am curious what buffer tube/buffer they use and what or if any charging handles are compatible.
