  1. Photos soon. I haven't installed the Timney trigger or the bipod mount and bipod...
  2. Ahh, thanks. Your membership card in "The Group of People Who Know More than I Do" is on the way. It isn't a very exclusive club. ?
  3. ...one hell of a shooter. Finally got her out to the range with a pretty good selection of .308 ammo. She shot it all fine, and the bolt locked back as it is supposed to do. Bought the Aero nickel boron bolt with the package. Got the 18" barrel. Got on paper at 50 and 100 yards with MagPul backup sights, will try my 1x8 scope next time. Rifle is a *lot* heavier than I thought it would be and, wowser, .308 rounds are loud enough to wake the dead in the next county, a lot louder than .357 Mag rounds. ? I've got a bipod and am wondering what the thoughts are as to where on the m-lok handguard to mount it...near the muzzle or rear of the gasblock. Don't know whether it makes any difference or why it would...advice appreciated.
  4. I'm hoping to avoid these problems by buying a current production Aero Precision upper and lower, along with an Aero Precision BCG. We shall see.
  5. What specific buffer and spring do you fellas recommend in case mine are problematical?
  6. I have a new Aero Precision upper in .308 with an 18" barrel, and this coming week I'll have my new Aero Precision .308 lower in hand. Both pieces "assembled" at Aero Precision. I have a half-dozen of the "proper" 10-round PMAGS on hand, and a few hundred rounds of quality factory ammo in 168 and 175 grain varieties. I don't plan to suppress the barrel...and it has whatever gas block and buffer A-P put on it. My concern is that I am reading here and elsewhere and seeing on YouTube a plethora of articles and videos of folks having serious issues with their .308's...feeding, failure to fire, bad ejections, failure of the bolt to lock back on an empty mag...and more. A lot more of these problems than I see with .223/5/56 ARs. The .308 platform seems a lot more problematical than the smaller caliber platform... True? Not True? Possibly? What?
  7. Got a new M&P 10 Sport, only have 100-200 yard ranges available. Would like to sight in for close groups on paper targets. Recommendations for an optic? Thanks!
