the pic i posted is the factory plate,i am wanting to replace that with one to hook a sling to.the pic you posted here is the one i bought and it wont go on my rifle.that is why i thought maybe they werent compatible between ar15 and ar10

i got it at sportsmans warehouse.dont remember the model,had a steel loop on it to clip the sling on

Are the sling mounts that fit under the castle nut a universal fit between ar15 and 308 ar?I bought a magpul mount that didn't fit.can't seem to find anything that is designated for 308 ar.

thank you,so far iv only fired 20 rounds.grouped a little over an inch with whitetail express sp's.the trigger is pretty mushy feeling but usable.have a new drop in on the way.
