Sorry for late response I forgot all about this. I mean I already have the rifle. I bought a fairly cheap 16” barrel before and it didn’t go so well. So I put the PSA back on temporarily and researched a bit on what barrels would be compatible and didn’t find much. So I ordered a Ballistic Advantage barrel and am currently waiting a day or 2 to go to the range to test it out. So now I’m wondering if the PSA BCG will work correctly with the new barrel or if I should go and get the matching BA BCG? As of now the dummy rounds are getting small scratches up and down the casing as well as the projectile itself which it did not do with the PSA barrel but it did do that with the other aftermarket 16” barrel I had which kind of makes me think I may need the BA BCG. But idk I’m a newbie to .308 ARs and their compatibility within brands.

I have a pretty specific question for anyone who has some experience changing parts on the PA-10. I have been debating on getting a SCAR but can’t get myself to pull the trigger with that price tag. So instead I have a Gen 2 and I want to transform it to a battle rifle and would like to put a shorter barrel on instead of the 20” one. So does anyone have any suggestions on a super reliable 16-18” barrel, BCG, and buffer system combo?
