Hi folks New guy here. Newer owned any AR. We have a CNC machine available and I decided to build myself a AR10 6.5 creedmoore. I purchased 80% Gen 1 DPMS raw billet upper and lower receiver. Did some research online and saw some guns sold as skeletonized. I like the look so my question is can I do it same with my upper and lower receiver? Or these companies use thicker/stronger material to make them? Nothing crazy just couple slots so I can see my bolt carrier.
