  1. I actually installed the Armalite collapsible stock assembly and railed handguards after buying it. It had the A2 stock and standard handguards on it. Thanks for your help trying to figure this rifle out. I had thought that the permanent attached muzzle device was a factory thing similar to the ban era T series carbine I used to have during those screwy years. It shoots well and I'm happy with it and will not sell this one off.

  3. He did ask if it had a white emblem stamped on the front of the magwell and I advised him it did. He said that indicated that it was an Eagle lower which was a factory built gun when it left them. Mine is a five digit serial number and apparently he wasn't able to find anything that far back on his excel files. What is strange is that when I first called after buying the rifle, the person i spoke with was able to find everything on it and his description of the rifle was spot on. I had originally asked if it was a T series barrel and he said no, just indicated that it was a stainless steel barrel with an A2 upper. It is a ban era rifle for sure and does not have a bayonet lug. Back in the late 90's to early 2000, how many other manufacturers sold Armalite pattern barrels and other parts for the AR-10? I didn't think anybody aside from Stoner were making AR-10 pattern rifles?
  4. The permanent attached muzzle device looks exactly like the Armalite factory device listed on their website. Strange. I have no reason to believe the barrel had been changed as it was in unfired condition, but who knows?
  5. Just took the railed handguard off and there are no markings anywhere on the barrel at all. It is more of an M4 style contour and not a heavy barrel. https://imgur.com/a/yT0LmDR
  6. Just got off the phone with a guy named Glenn. Very cool guy to talk with. Unfortunately, he was not able to find my exact serial number in their old excel data sheets. He estimated my rifle to be a late 90's to very early 2000 model. He was not sure which barrel it left the factory with when I explained the stainless steel carbine barrel. For all I know at this point, it's an oddball. I think I might try taking the rails off this evening to see if I can find any markings on the barrel. Did Armalite ever produce T series barreled A2 carbines? He added that they have several B series lower receivers and he has been pushing for another run of A4 receivers to be made. He is hoping late summer for release of more of these.

  8. Think I will call back again tomorrow and confirm. I had thought it may have been a T series barrel because it looked identical to the 16" T carbine I owned years ago.
  9. Maybe?🤣. I'll try to get them off to confirm.
  10. Strange. Mine appears to be a standard stainless barrel. No visible markings in front of the gas block at all. Not sure if there are any under the Alostyr rails I put on it, but they were a pain to get on. http://imgur.com/a/QxN7G4t

  12. Yep, I called Armalite and the gentleman looked up the serial number. I asked if it had a T model barrel and he said no. Not sure about NM barrel, though. I am on a waiting list for notification when or if they make more uppers. The guy I talked with was awesome. Talked for about 20 minutes. He did say that there were plans to kick out more B series stuff in the future. I certainly hope so.
  13. I will get some photos up tomorrow for you to look at.
  14. It was. I was floored when my Nephew offered it to me. It was unfired sitting in his Dad's safe for years. Sort of a strange combination. Stainless barrel with A2 upper. It shoots great though.
  15. Hello, just curious if there are any options for using any other manufacturer's A4 style flat top upper receiver on a B series AR-10. I would prefer to use an Armalite upper receiver, but it's rather difficult finding one at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
