L I have approximately 100 rounds down the tube. I completed barrel breakin (25 rounds) and have done some load development. The buffer/spring combo is the JP captured spring system for 308. By no means is the system what I would call “conditioned”.

Thank you! I have cleaned the gun today and did that very thing. I keep having doubts about spring stiffness. If I release the bolt with no mag, it will violently slam the bolt closed. Each time I do that, it erases any doubt about spring stiffness.

OK! I assembled an AR10 in 7.62 x 51 and have an issue. Background...I am using Lancer mags, Rubber City Armory BCG, and using a captured spring buffer system. I am using am adjustable gas block and the rifle cycles great. It's accurate and I really enjoy shooting it. On LRBHO, I eject the mag and insert a full mag. When releasing the bolt, it does not chamber the round. If I pull the charging handle, it will chamber the round. Does the rifle need more "conditioning"? Or, is there something I can check. I run very similar equipment in my AR15s without issue.
