Thank you, I have the lower profile upper. I do appreciate your help with this info. Was considering getting rid of it, if it was a Gen2. Again, thank you for your assistance.

Good afternoon, like said above, I know this thread is older. However I just picked up an DPMS LR-308 at a hell of a deal. The question I’m having issues with, is it a Gen 1 or Gen 2! I it does have the newer “lower profile receiver”, so would I assume it’s the Gen 2. Also, my serial number has the “K” in it, but it is third after the FF. Not at the end of the serial number. Thank you for any and all help with this rifle. I’m trying to pick up some extra parts for it and want to get them right the first go around. thanks Walt
