Hello ; I'm new to this forum and new to building AR10s as I have built several on the AR15 platform. I am doing a build for a friend who brought me a complete Aero lower on a carbine configuration. He has a custom 24 inch barrel for long range. I noticed while adding an ambi- sling loop it has a short carbine style buffer. Should he get a heavier buffer since its such a long barrel and will be generating more foot ponds of energy and chamber pressure? If so what weight should he go with? I am not familiar with the weights on a AR10.
