Unforgiven, you're very likely right. Plus it's not an expensive scope. But it has sentimental value and except for the focus problem its been an excellent scope for the last 11 years. Thank you Shooterrex, I didn't see that when I searched. I appreciate ya'll taking time to respond and I hope you fellas have a great 4th of July. Unforgiven and Rsquared, I'm just gonna get over it and buy a new scope. I'll make a nice wood display for it and hang it in my shop. Me n she go way back as far as memories go. Talking a off topic !! Everyone likes a good story. Working my way through VERY heavy brush loaded with mature briars, tracking a hog, I was in a spot virtually trapped, i was having to move limbs and Briars by hand, made a baby step and the ground exploded around me. I'd worked my way INTO a bed of hogs. Every hole I had puckered as I could've literally been eaten alive!! God was riding shotgun tho and they charged off. Don't know if ya know about hogs, when you jump em, if they gonna run they go in direction they are pointing when they stand up. I felt the brush I was basically hung in shake but not one touched me. Usually when they run by you they rake your leg with their tusks and they are razor sharp. Their tusks are set so every time their jaw closes the tusks "whet" against other teeth. Not only did I not get a shot, I couldn't even get my gun up it was so thick. I'm gonna brag now. I've killed 3 deer in their bed, I'm pretty stealthy! First one (doe) was with a 2.5 x 7 Redfield Widefield I used from 77 to 2010. Next was a doe with the 3 x 9 Atec, and the last was a nice 8 pt.. I was probably 15 ft. from him when we saw each other on my left out of the corner of my eye, I was actually a hair past him. I slowly brought my .50 muzzleloader up as I kept advancing and pulled the trigger as soon as the Atec's crosshairs were on his chest. His head dropped and he kicked a few times and it was lights out. A pickup bed may could hold all the deer I've taken with that cheap old Atec, we've had a lot of great hunts together. But Opticsplanet went and sent me an email about an awesome N/V scope. Now I've got the new scope bug lol. (Has lots of good reviews but china can stick all their scopes up their ass) . I'm 66, (retired riverboat Chief Engineer) and on a fixed income so I'm gonna start putting into a scope fund. Hopefully by November I'll be able to drop 6 to 900 on a pretty good night vision scope. Then I'm going to do the same thing for a decent handheld thermal imaging monocular if I can find one. DITTO to every word Rsquared said !!!! Hope I didn't bore yall! Have A Wonderful 4th guys GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸

I searched the site, and I'm sure it's on here but I can't find it. Does anybody know a good place to send my Simmons Atec 3x9 to get it fixed? I was adjusting the focus on the "eyeball" end and something in it hung up and won't move although the adjusting ring turns. I hope everyone has a great Independence Day holiday.

I searched on here and didn't find the best scope mount for an AK 47. Internet search says Midwest industries is an excellent one. Apparently you have to remove it to remove the dust cover. One reviewer said he could remove and re-install and his scope was still zeroed. I'm skeptical unless folks on here say it's true. Will some of you folks tell me your thoughts on the matter? Thanks

Ha, I found it. Just needed to open my eyes.

1Thanks to all of ya'll for the warm welcome!! Hey Belt Fed if you could type that in an hour you're quicker than me lol Can someone recommend a section on here where it would be good / ok to talk about ideas or strategies to save our country from the cancer thats taken hold of it, utilizing the AR ?

Welcome from Mississippi Randa. I'm a newbie and you will find some good people on here!!

Hi mrmackc, Matt Cross, sagebrush, shooterrex, Rsquared, jtallen83and Belt Fed, I had a PSAK 47. I like a lot of other folks I've heard about had a stroke of bad luck with it. Me and a buddy of mine went out on a local river one night this past February to pop some beaver, we hit a stump that was just below the surface and flipped the boat. Well my AK 47 went for a swim and didn't come back!! I still go look for it occasionally. If I find it I plan to mount a scope on it. Since this is the introduction area I guess I'll switch over to the pertinent section and see what folks with experience recommend for a mount. I'm also gonna see if I can find some info on ammo recommended for urban warfare. In the subject of being a troll, guilty as charged. But not in a malicious way, only for posting "off topic" I looked up the definition , In internet slang, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog), with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating their perception. I respectfully say the following. I figure that one reason many members are into 308 AR's is to be able to fight tyranny if the need arises. Look around you, listen to a conservative news organization, we are in big trouble RIGHT NOW. And if I have to catch some heat for being a troll in order to get information out to people that may be willing to step up to LEGALLY help preserve our republic and way of life then so be it. I have a 5 y/o grandson and I will do everything i can to prevent him from growing up in a socialist country up to and including my blood. If people just wait around for someone else to prevent it we are in serious trouble. I'm not being disrespectful or smart mouth to anybody, just trying to help save our country for our children and grandchildren. If you are reading this that includes yours as well. On another note I heard some AWESOME news on Dan Bongino's podcast 1545 yesterday. A top guy in china's counter espionage unit has defected to the U.S.. If you'd like to hear some AWESOME details listen to his podcast 1545. Our Military firing squad will hopefully be polishing up their sights and getting with the program soon because information he brought with him is supposed to include names of people in our government that have been doing things they should not have. Red State is who broke the story initially. Here is the link if anybody is interested;;;;; https://redstate.com/jenvanlaar/2021/06/04/exclusive-high-ranking-chinese-defector-has-direct-knowledge-of-several-chinese-special-weapons-programs-n391238/amp Have A Goodun Folks God Bless And if you believe in God May God Help Us All Believe me when I say, we need it.

Hello guys, gals, fellow Patriots, I'm Chris. I'm over 65 y/o, a bit technologically impaired, and I have a great love for our country and way of life. I want my country to be at least as good for my Grandson as it was for me when I was growing up. If something is not done soon that will just be a pipe dream. I'm sure there are many veterans that are members of this site and I want ya'll to know that I deeply appreciate your service to our great country. Thats not just lip service I mean it. I signed up for the draft as required but sadly was not physically fit to serve. Did anyone notice that the two people that are masquerading as POTUS and VPOTUS failed to mention the sacrifices made by our fallen HEROS on Memorial Day?? Those great men and women gave their very lives in defense of our still great nation. And those two disgraced our nation by not giving them recognition for sacrificing their absolute all, their very lives, how utterly disgusting. Yes it's still a great nation but enemies within are trying every way they possibly can to turn our republic into a socialist and eventually a communist regime. The State Legislature of Pennsylvania held a hearing to investigate voting irregularities and fraud. Its long folks, to the tune of over 3 hours. Many will say I don't have time to watch that, but please take my word for it, you will be VERY glad you did. Viewing it will make you proud to be an American and it will also probably make your blood boil. Here is a link to it; If you don't trust the link I recommend using duckduckgo to do an internet search for it. The google machine is not your friend. Just copy paste this into the search bar "The State Legislature of Pennsylvania held a hearing Rudy Giuliani" The bottom line is I came to this site in hopes of finding like minded individuals that are willing to step up and do what they can to save our country from socialism. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." May God Help Us, Chris/Riverrat

98Z5V I accidentally posted twice and everythingj say here is with the utmost respect to you sir. I did say I just joined, thats why there are no other posts. I'm up in my years and somewhat technologically impaired. Yes indeed we need people to join a Militia in their state and we better be getting organized quickly, the "opposition " already has their poop together. Just look what is happening in our country. If you don't trust the link (and I don't blame you!) Search - modern militia movement Feldspar. If you don't put in Feldspar, google who supports the left, will display all kinds of crap but not what you want. I am not in any way being a smart mouth but folks sitting back doing nothing is a big problem and I know you are well aware of that sir. Our 2nd amendment allows us to have legal state militias. Good day sir and thank you for your interest. Please tell all your friends. -
Hi I just joined. Here is the only place I see posts that aren't years old. I know there are MANY country loving patriots on here. Also I am sure this site is being well monitored. The joke we have for attorney gen. has the F B I searching for white suprem-acist groups that he lies and says are America's biggest threat WITH NO PROOF OF SUCH - ZEFO PROOF.. What a laugh, now they will be letting the real threat go unnoticed and wasting our country's resources on a very minor threat. People need to LEGALLY unite to LEGALLY protect and defend our country per the U.S. Constitution. People of ALL COLORS and nationalities should consider joining. Modern Militia Movement is a national group NOT a national Militia. They help you hook up with your local Militia. To find your local one click on State Groups and go to your state. SUPREMACISTS and HOTHEADS of any kind are NOT WELCOME. https://modernmilitiamovement.com/forum/topics/time-to-muster-and-take-up-arms?commentId=6453824%3AComment%3A1431877&xg_source=msg_com_forum May God help us.
