Hi all,
My name is Gary and I live SW of Denver in Pine Colorado. I am the current range manager for Buffalo Creek Gun Club so I tend to shoot a lot. I shoot IDPA and Steel Challenge with a Wilson Combat 1911 in .45 ACP. I have just ventured into long range precision steel and before dumping a lot of money into a PRS rifle I'm getting my "Pig" gun able to shoot long distance. Buffalo Creek has a 600 yard range and we set steel on the back berm giving us 685 yards max.
My "Pig" gun is a S&W MP10 in .308 with a Trijicon 3.5X ACOG mounted on top and has claimed many Texas hogs. Now it sports a Vortex 6X24X50 FFP mrad optic. Much better than the ACOG for this mission. I ran into cycling problems as I tried different loads and found this forum a great help, specifically @98Z5V in getting it to at least run. I think I have read at least 100 threads so far and am still reading.
Now it runs and the fine tuning will begin and so will my questions.
Thanks for having me,
Gary
