  1. Thanks. I’m gonna get an assortment of different weights to see what they like. But, as another stated above, with off shelf plinking ammo with 2 moa, it’ll drop a target. My .308’s when built were done for mid range with a 6.5cm if I needed reach which is not really needed in my area. The .308 can do what’s needed around here.
  2. Thanks. I have two .308’s and a 6.5cm barreled with Noveske. Back when I decided I wanted large frame I read a lot on the other forum and decided I wanted 16” barrel, rifle gas. At that time the only two companies I found that made those was Criterion and Noveske. I’m hoping the groups do tighten up. The .308’s are mid range intended but I’m taking them to a 1000 yd range this spring
  3. By the way, one thing that triggered my question is the way carriers are cut and the different cuts of the large frame receivers i.e. dpms, Armalite mainly. When I was getting spare bcg parts I found differences in firing pins, carrier cuts.
  4. K. Thanks. I have Aero, toolcraft BCG’s and a couple rubber city bolts. I’ll use the stag BCG until I get it back out with better ammo.
  5. Thanks. I bought the stag frame set/rail and found one of their BCG’s. I took one of my .308’s (have three, two were nearly identical) and donated it’s barrel to the stag build. That barrel was only test fired. The barrel has now been broke in using off shelf ammo, it shot 2moa. It’s now tuned non-suppressed and cycles without hiccup. However I decided to change gb to a rifle speed since it’s gonna be suppressed. Never used rifle speed before. It has a superlative now.
  6. I’m looking at accuracy, reliability. Barrel has been broke in (Noveske 16”RG), sited, using off the shelf 150gr ammo. It shot 2 moa at 100yds. So I’m thinking of using a JP bolt on a toolcraft carrier. This gun is a build that was done using stag frame set, rail, noveske barrel, ssa-e. So the bolt as well as better ammo. Thinking 168 smk.
  7. Hello. May I ask a question regards BCG’s. Currently I have a .308 utilizing a Stag Arms frame set and have a stag BCG in it. Don’t know how reliable they are so I was thinking of replacing the bolt. Will a toolcraft carrier work in a stag frame? What’s your take on Reliable bolts for .308 ? Brand? I was told dual ejectors are not needed for 308. What’s your take? I did look for a thread on this but didn’t find one. tia
