  1. Thanks all
  2. Yeah pretty interesting cartridge with an interesting back story. I thought it would be a fun “what if” project as in what if the 280 Brit had ended up as the NATO standard instead of 308. Took me almost two years to build but it turned out to be really nice to shoot and a one of a kind piece.
  3. I’ve done 260, 308, 375 Raptor and 280 British so far. 280 Brit was a long project getting custom reamer and gauges, custom forming sizing and seating dies and custom pipe. Runs real well though and surprisingly accurate once the load was worked out.
  4. Thanks for the welcome and fortunately no wasn’t near the floods. Bad situation though.
  5. A pic of my latest project the 280British large frame.
  6. Been lurking for awhile and finally signed up. Have been building both small and large frame ARs for a good number of years now. I tend to lean towards nonstandard calibers and the challenges involved with making those work. 17HM2, 380, 7.62 Tokarev, 17 Fireball and 221 Fireball are all in the success pile for the small frames along with the usual 9mm, 300blk, 223 etc. Large frames so far are in 260 and 308 for the normal stuff and 375 Raptor and 280 British (2 year project) for the non standard stuff. Next large frame I’m leaning towards 250-3000 Savage which should be fun. Anyway glad to be able to jump on here and share my stuff and learn some more from the members.
