  1. Hello everyone, this is the first time I've joined a gun forum, but I just like large frame AR-pattern gas rifles so much that I figured I should make an account. My current build started as a Troy M10A1 and slowly has evolved into a frankenstein gun. I purchased the Troy used for a great deal, but it came back to bite me as the gun didn't feed/function properly. So I went down a rabbit hole of at home "gunsmithing" with the guidance of SOTAR videos and trying to adapt that knowledge to large frame guns to fix my rifle. After a ton of troubleshooting, I got my build working and it's been great plinking at distance. Base rifle Troy M10a1 20" barrel Vortex viper pst gen 2 3-18x adm recon mount harris bipod Troy 45 offset sights kak handguard Riflespeed adjustable gas block Richmond Tactical plan b compatible single port muzzle break, may get swapped out to dual port muzzle break a5 style buffer tube h1 to h2 heavy buffer, still working out reliability with and without a suppressor springco orange spring, ive found after shooting cheap ammo suppressed, a heavier spring really helps a dry dirty gun go into battery The next build I would like to pursue is a shorter barrel 6.5 creedmoor around 14.5" to 16", the barrel im eyeballing for that build is from Criterion or Craddock in their rtr line.
