GRA Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 GREAT NEWS - More reloadable brass for this caliber. According to this article this change is effective immediately: (from The Firearms Blog this date) http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/10/hornady-upgrades-7-62x39-load-black-line/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=2017-04-11&utm_campaign=Weekly+Newsletter
TenRingKing Posted April 14, 2017 Report Posted April 14, 2017 Any idea if it will be Hornady brass or import. Would be nice to see some brass show up from them. Brass is of the biggest problems loading this round. Interesting the FPS seem on the slow side. I did check the steel case X39 when it came out and it was no where near that slow, about 2378 FPS. Will be interesting to see how the accuracy will be as I never had good performance with V-max bullets in that FPS range. They seem to realy work well 2425 to 2450 FPS range.
GRA Posted April 14, 2017 Author Report Posted April 14, 2017 Good point. Might be something that can be fixed on the reloading bench.
