Twin Cities Arsenal Ammo?

 So maybe some of you old timers can help me on this one lol.

I just so happened to come across a full box of Twin Cities Arsenal ball M1911 ammo lot number 18433. It was given to me and the box is imaculate however the steel cased ammo, not so much. I have done some research and I think its 1948 maybe? If this ammo box could talk I would love to know its year of manufacture. I dare not shoot it becasue, well its a full box and makes one heck of a conversation piece and two,  the ammo looks horrible and I don't know how stable it is. Thought I would share.
