  1. I've received mine for my AR-10 build, but I haven't started the assembly of the upper yet. And I'm probably going to wait until after the SHOT Show, as I'm going to see what will be new in the world of suppressors pretty soon. The Apex handguard looks great! the gatorback texture feels really good in the hands, and the ability to put rail sections wherever I want them is just what I wanted.
  2. Thanks for the input. I'm waiting for Apex CMC Machine to release their version for the AR-10. It should be any time now.
  3. Thanks for the post. I've looked at the SWS stuff, and I have considered it, but I'm waiting to hear back from Apex. I wrote them a while back to see if their handguards would fit the AR-10, and right now they don't, but they later sent me a message saying they expect to have their AR-10 version out on November 1st. I'm not in an extreme rush, so I'll wait to see what happens. Chuck them out at http://www.apexcncmachine.com/
  4. I'm building an Armalite AR10A4 carbine and I'm trying to find a free float handguard for it. The thing is, I don't want a quad rail, as I want it to be light weight and don't want it to be bulky. I do want a full top rail matched up to the receiver, but I want to be able to place small sections of rail just where I need them. I've searched and called everywhere I can think of, and the only real option I've found is the JP or VTac handguard. If anyone knows of any others out there, please let me know. Chuck

  6. Hi, Chuck is the name and I'm working on my third AR10 build. My first (AR10A2) was bought at a gun show and I made the mistake of selling it a few years back. I've built a few Armalite M15s before, and so this go around I decided to build my own AR10s. This is a great site and a great forum, with lots of info to be shared by all. I don't get on forums that much, at least not to write stuff, but I'll definitely check back pretty often to see what's going on. Glad to be on board, Chuck
