  1. The "Big Brown truck" just left my new .308 receiver to go with the 18'" .338 Federal barrel. I will be bowhunting tomorrow so I will probably put it together Sunday and hopefully shoot it next week. I will let you know how it does. I have a regular .338 magnum and it will thump you real good if you do not hold it tight to your shoulder. I also have a .450 AR and a .458 SOCOM that will limber your shoulder, especially the SOCOM over 300grs. Rick
  2. Thanks 98Z5V for the info. Rickwv
  3. I need to take my bolt key off of the carrier, what is the torque value used to reinstall them along with thread locker and staking them. I have found that most of the torque values are about the same as the ones used on the AR15 but the 308 bolt carrier Assembly has a lot more mass involved and the gas from the 308/7.62 has a little more ump. So I thought I would ask before I did something wrong. Thanks Rickwv
  4. I have one of these on a 6.5 Grendel build and it is as sweet as can be. I decided not to replace the barrel on my LR-308B. I am going to send my bolt to American Spirit Arms and have them machine it and order a .308 sidecocker and put my Fulton Amory barrel on it. Look it over real good for your next build, you will Love it. And the people at American Spirit Arms easy to work with also. Just my two cents Rickwv I just talked to Dan at "American Spirit Arms" about ordering a .308 side cocker and was told their .308 sidecocker will only fit the "American Spirit Arms" lower. This was not in any of their online information. I still love the one I got for my 6.5 Grendel and really wish the .308 would fit. Rick Again
  5. Thanks for the info. I ended up having to buy a longer tube anyway and I got a new nut with it. I have a couple of .750 gas blocks from a 6.5 build and will use one of them. Thanks Again Rickwv
  6. I am in the process of changing out the .920 barrel on my LR-308B with a .750 Fulton Barrel and keeping free floating tube handguard. What is the groups opinion on reusing the barrel nut, after I clean it up. I just don't want to buy another handguard, just to get the barrelnut from DPMS Thanks Rickwv
