just installed my bill springfield prepped trigger and hammer into my lr308 lower. i had 4# pull and speed hammer mod done to my stock dpms fire control assembly. it feels like (pardon the expression) christmas! super fast turn around time by bill. while corresponding with him via email, he answered all my questions both quickly and professionally.

this is exactly why i buy complete uppers for my projects! that, and i'm lazy.

after reading that article i'm gonna go with an 18" barrel for my Lr308 build. SASS upper here i come! now i need to decide on a trigger....

interesting, i was looking at bill springfield trigger jobs... i've been on snipershide doing some homework and a few people over there recommended his trigger jobs.

I'm starting with a DPMS lr308 stripped lower receiver and one pmag. planning on using this site on helping me figure out what way i want to go with this build. i have two ar15 builds under my belt already. funny story on how i acquired this receiver and the story starts with craigslist... the short version: found non running s10 1980's blazer on craigslist. person wanted to trade for scooter. i happened to have said scooter. contacted person on craigslist- blazer was gone but has a mossy 500 he'd trade for my non running scooter. made the trade. 2 days later i head to local GS and they give me $125 in trade for mossy on dpms receiver. i happily forked over the remaining 180. :) was that the short story?
