  1. Yep, the guy lied. The buffer weight is 3.0 oz and the spring was 10 5/8". Even shorter than stock for a Ar15. I may just use it on my daughters AR15. It will be more comfortable than the DPMS adjustable she has now. 25 years after college I keep paying for my education.
  2. Thanks for the info, I will verify prior to installing. I thought one size fits all was a stretch.
  3. The stock has "DSC" on it. It is a Tapco type stock. I will have to Google it.....
  4. I have a fixed butt stock on the rifle now. All factory pieces. The Tapco type stock did come with spring and buffer.
  5. I was at a gun show this weekend and purchased a Tapco type butt stock for my LR308. The guy said it would only fit on a DPMS 308. OK but is the buffer spring strong enough for the 308? He says so, but I thought I would get more opinions.
  6. I would have to take out a loan to feed this thing!
  7. You may want to reconsider the stainless barrel for hunting. I have a DPMS LR308 with the 24" stainless barrel and that thing is heavy. I wouldn't want to hump that thing through the woods.
  8. I haven't really looked yet. i wanted to figure out the mount so I would be looking at the right type. Do you suggest the Harris?
  9. I do have the sling swivel stud. Do I need to buy a rail that bolts on or can the bipod be mounted in the sling hole?
  10. How do you plan to mount the bipod? I have the same rifle, but in 308. I need a bipod, yet I have no rail to mount it to. Can the strap mount be used?
  11. Never mind I found the post where this is explained. Noob mistake.
  12. I just bought a new LR-308 with the 24" stainless barrel. Love the gun. I was cleaning it and wanted to remove the front hand guard. It is not like my AR15. What is the procedure for removal?
