  1. Everything I have found seems to say that a standard .223 gas block and gas tube will work for a .308, Does anyone have any information to back that up or bust it?

  3. I had many problems with brownells this week while ordering reloading stuff and parts for my 308AR build. Once I finally talked to a gun tech we figured out what the issue was. I appears that IT or web design didn't know very much about, well anything gun related and had a ton of inventory classified as .223/.308. When in fact it was just .223. He apologized a ton and told me that they would get a nasty-graham. The problem was fixed a couple hrs later for some of the inventory, but not all. FYI this has been the only issue I have ever had with brownells. They are a fantastic company and customer service is 2nd to none!

  5. I have seen tons of pics via search engines online, and heard that there are several companies that make wood furniture for the AR platform. However I can't seem to find any that are offered in AR-10. 1) Does anyone have a few vendors that sale this line? 2) Is is possible to free float a wood handguard? Is it possible to attach a bipod to a wood handguard? Thanks, RNM
  6. Does anyone have an update on the Armalite Apex 2600 series? The web page says currently unavailable. Until now each handguard I've looked at just received a "i guess that will work".... but this one is very sharp and very functional... I know it's early in the relationship, but, I think I'm in love!
  7. Do you have a link, a picture or a price? Robcop, thanks for your input. Lots of ideas there to consider. I will let you know which direction I plan on taking this. RNM

  9. I plan to finish this by early spring for load development, then to Wyoming on Pronghorn hunt. My goal isn't stacking rounds on top of each other, that is what my bolt is for. However since this is a build I'm sure I can get good results with out breaking the bank. What I have: Upper/Lower: Mega-Ten LPK: DPMS Barrel: 20" .308 Chrome Moly Fluted (threaded) To Buy: Hand-guard: Undecided (Badger Ordnance) http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=751245 Grip: Falcon ERGO Bolt: Undecided Buffer: pneumatic buffer? Stock: Magpul PRS Rings: TPS Steel Scope: Wotac 4-14x40 (already have one on my bolt and bolt trainer, I like it very much) Bipod: Tango Down Please tell me what experience you have with any of these parts. Or if you would go a different way.
  10. Howdy from the midwest (east of Indy). I am a member of several boards and thought I would turn to yal for my build. I will have lots of questions and will be browsing the classifieds often. Any advice for this forum for this noob?
